WHAT IS FIDELITY HOUSE? Fidelity House is a non-profit community center that has been serving the needs of Arlington and surrounding communities for the past 55 years! We offer programs for kids of all ages and aspire to fit the many needs of our community. Our programs are designed to offer participants a chance to develop skills while having fun.
HOW TO USE THIS BROCHURE This Fall Brochure includes an overview of what is offered seasonally at Fidelity House and separate brochures describe several of these programs in depth and include registration forms. Weekly newsletters are written September through June which offer the latest up-to-date information on what is going on at Fidelity House and can be obtained at our registration desk or on our website at www.fidelityhouse.org. In addition, the local Arlington Advocate newspaper highlights current information.

HELPFUL FIDELITY HOUSE PROGRAM DEFINITIONS
Preschool, Educational environment that children 2. 9 years – 5 year olds learn to develop their educational, emotional, physical and social skills.
PreKindergarten- More advanced educational environment that children 4– 5 year olds learn to develop their educational, emotional, physical and social skills.
School Age Child Care Program- Structured After School Program offered for youth kindergarten through 6th grade. Program includes coverage for after school hours, days off from school and ½ days. Transportation from local Arlington schools is included.
Open Membership- Encompassing program offered for 2nd graders and up that kids tailor towards their own interests. Youth combine a drop –in recreational experience with structured programs targeted for their own interests and development.

The School Age Child Care Program (SACCP), established in 1984, provides a safe and creative environment for school age children in Kindergarten through 6th grade. The program is fully licensed and follows the guidelines of the Department of Early Education and Care. Parents have the option of enrolling in either our After School Program, our Full Day/Snow Day program or both the After School & Full Day Programs
The SACCP After School Program, CELEBRATING 25 YEARS, is based at Fidelity House and FiHo 2. Hours are from 2-5:30 p.m., Monday through Friday during the school year. The program also provides coverage during school early release days. Extended care is available for children until 6:30 pm for an additional fee. The program consists of: arts & crafts, sports, table games, group games, trips, cooking classes and special events. Youth in this program may also register for the age appropriate sports/special interest seasonal programs that are offered during the times they attend. A nutritious snack is served daily. Transportation from several of the surrounding public schools to Fidelity House is available. The SACCP Full Day/Snow Day Program We offer Full Day Programs from 8:00 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. any time school is not in session. Full Day coverage includes school holidays, vacation days, snow days and teacher conference days. Families registered in this program then have the option to choose which days they would like their child to participate in. Special local trips and special events are planned for those days.
| OPEN MEMBERSHIP Program is offered for youth in 2nd – 12th grades. Members combine an age appropriate drop –in recreational experience with structured programs tailored for their own interests and development.
Scheduled gym time, age designated game rooms, special interest youth programs, a drop-in arts and crafts program, and special events are available. A current membership is required for all drop-in & scheduled youth programs. Members bring cards with them to check in.

Toddler thru 1st grade Age PRESCHOOL PROGRAM- The Preschool, now in its 33rd year, is open to children 2.9 to 5 year olds. Classes are offered weekday mornings from 8:45-11:45 a.m. and afternoons from 12:15 p.m. – 3:15 p.m. The Pre-School is licensed under the guidelines of the Department of Early Education and Care (EEC). PREKINDERGARTEN PROGRAM This advanced Preschool program is offered Mon.through Fri., 8:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. Registration for 3 - 5 days/week. Brochures describing the program in detail are available at our office. PRESCHOOL SPORTS-Preschoolers 3- 5 years old will be introduced to the basics of sports in a fun way. Different sports will be highlighted each week with fun games designed for gross motor skill development, group social skills and physical fitness. Wednesdays, 10 - 10:45 a.m. Current drop in session continues through March. New session April 7 - May 19 (no 4/21), 6 weeks, $36 fee, $7 drop in fee. GYMNASTICS –Established program for over 20 years! 3 different classes are offered for pre-school (ages 3-5) on Mondays, 12:30- 1:30 p.m., Thursdays 10 – 11 a.m. or Saturdays, 9:30 – 10:30 a.m. Kindergarten classes are offered on Saturday, 11 – 12 noon and Mondays, 3 – 4 p.m. or 4-5 p.m. Space is limited! 2nd – 4th Graders ARTS & CRAFTS-Free drop-in program offered on Tues., Wed., and Fridays, 2:15-4:30 pm. Recycled materials are used for many of the projects. Donations welcome. FIHO PLAYERS- The FiHo Players is a theater group that strives to develop a youth’s self-confidence, poise and natural theatrical talent. The area youth, grades 2 & up, learn what putting together a production from start to stage really entails. Areas they develop skills in are: acting, voice modulation, stage direction, scenery building, costume/make-up designing, auditioning and being able to perform in front of an audience. There is a place for everyone! The FiHo Players theater group will be concentrating on a comedy production for this year’s Spring stage production. Call for details. GYMNASTICS -Established program for over 20 years! Instruction on all the apparatus, stretching and safety are incorporated in a fun atmosphere. Classes are offered for 2nd – 4th graders. Space is limited! Next session offered February 25 – April 8, April 15 – May 27. Flyers describing the program in detail are available. WEDNESDAY GYM TIME – 2nd – 4th graders join a structured gym activity time from 3- 3:45 p.m. Membership or guest fee required. GIRLSintheHOUSE - 2nd – 5th grade GIRLS meets Wednesdays at 3- 3:30 p.m.for girls only fun. FiHo girl Volunteer Club members organize games, activities & fun. Membership or guest fee required. GRADES 2-4 SPORTS ACADEMY Game fundamentals, drills & sportsmanship are incorporated into games. Grades 2 meet 3 – 4 p.m., Grades 3 & 4 meet 4 – 5 p.m. FLOOR HOCKEY—Tuesdays- Session continues through April 13. 8 weeks, $40. BASKETBALL-Fridays-Session continues through April 16. (no 4/2). 7 weeks, $35 . SOCCER- Tuesdays- 6 week session begins April 30- May 25 , $25. WHIFFLE BALL-Fridays- 5 week session begins April 17 – May 28 (no 4/7), 4 wks., $20. JR. CELTIC BASKETBALL- Fidelity House will be offering a Girls & Boys Basketball program for 9 –13 year olds on Sundays, 4:30 – 6 p.m. Instruction on basketball fundamentals including dribbling, passing, shooting and defense will be emphasized. Conditioning drills, contests and scrimmage games will be incorporated into each week. Program continues through April 11 (no April 4). Membership and $35 registration fee required.
TAE KWON DO-CHUNG DO- This fun and exciting Korean Karate class develops self –discipline, motivation and confidence through structured training. Current classes are offered Wednesdays, 5 – 6:15 p.m. and Fridays, 3:30 – 4:45 p.m. Options for 1 – 2 times a week (2 times a week is encouraged). Flyers describing the program in detail are available. May join any time. Current session continues through March 12. New session starts March 17.
MENOTOMY MANOR- Transportation is provided throughout the year to children living in Menotomy Manor. On site program also. Parents are asked to call for further information.

Offered March 5 through May 21 (no 4/2 or 4/23). $30. VOLUNTEER CLUB- Grades 6-8. This is Fidelity House's Youth Board of Directors. Members help shape the future of Fidelity House, help out with varied activities and plan group trips. Call Fidelity House for more information. GET FIT- STAY FIT- Strengthening & conditioning weight training program utilizing fitness machines specially designed for 5th – 8th grade youth. Get Fit, Stay Fit Program continues through April 16. Participants may join at any time. Meets 3 days a week, Tuesdays, 3:15 – 4:15 p.m., Wednesdays, 3:30 – 4:30 p.m. & Fridays, 4:45 – 5:45 p.m. Flyer describing program in depth available at Fidelity House. 5 prepaid visits = $20 and drop in fee = $5 per visit. SPRING RUNNING - Grades 5- 8. Stretching, endurance & spring running are offered. Thursdays, 3:15 – 4 p.m., March 11- May 13 (no 4/1 or 4/22), 8 weeks. $32. GIRLS NIGHT OUT for 5th – 8th graders- Girls basketball games for players to gain confidence in game settings, learn the rules and fundamentals of the game and strengthen their skills--All while having fun! Mondays, 6 – 7 p.m.. Drop in program. Current membership required, drop in fee is $5 per visit. Offered 6 Mondays, March 8 thru April 12. JR. HIGH SCHOOL NITES- Periodic Saturday evenings, 7:30-10:30 p.m. Freshman/Sophmores welcome. February 27 is the next Saturday night scheduled. Membership or $5 guest fee required for attendance. Call for details.

AAU Spring Hoop- Fidelity House offers high school players an opportunity to play in A.A.U. (Amateur Athletic Union) area tournaments during the Spring season. Season runs March through June. HIGH SCHOOL LEAGUE- Spring intramural basketball league with 1 game per week and playoff/finals. Paid referee, scorer and high school rules for all games. Games played early Saturday evenings, with starting times of 5 or 6 p.m. Teams are decided by draft. League begins Saturday, March 6 thru May 22. (no 4/3, 5/8 or 5/15). $ 50 members, $ 70 non- members, $30 FiHo AAU players.
